Men's shoe size converter

Choose a manufacturer’s chart, enter a known US men’s or UK size, or enter a measured foot length in millimetres. The converter shows the corresponding entries in that chart. Nike and adidas are separate choices because their labels do not share one reliable offset.

The measurement refers to the foot from heel to toe. It is not the length inside a shoe, an insole measurement or a promise that a particular model will fit. What the converter returns

Three results appear together: US men’s size, UK size and the chart’s foot length in millimetres. The selected manufacturer stays visible above the results and in the note underneath. Switching charts keeps your input, then looks it up again using the newly selected source.

The Nike choice includes 38 published rows, from US 3.5 to 22. The adidas choice includes 28 rows, from US 4 to 20. The larger adidas sizes do not include every half size. The converter preserves the entries the manufacturer actually lists rather than filling gaps with an assumed formula.

Some labels can identify more than one row. Nike’s table lists UK 6 for both US 6.5 and US 7. Entering UK 6 therefore shows both results, with their different foot lengths. Slash-separated values follow the order of the comparison table underneath. An ambiguous label does not become a single answer simply because a calculator displays it.

How the chart comparison works

The data comes from Nike’s men’s footwear chart and adidas’s men’s shoe chart, checked on September 14, 2026. Each source publishes a metric foot-length row. The converter multiplies those centimetres by ten to display millimetres and retains the original chart precision.

Enter a number without a unit suffix, such as 9, 9.5 or 262. Decimal commas and half-size forms such as 9½ or 9 1/2 also work. Choose the matching input scale before interpreting the answer. A foot measurement of 262 belongs in the millimetre option, not the US size option.

An exact value returns every matching row. A foot measurement between two listed lengths returns both surrounding rows, so you can see the interval. It does not round your measurement down and present that as the size to buy. Nike advises using the larger size when a foot measurement falls between sizes; follow the selected maker’s guidance for the intended model.

For an unlisted numeric US or UK label within the chart’s range, the tool shows the nearest listed label. Equally close labels appear together. Values outside the selected chart produce an error, and the previous result clears. No size is extrapolated beyond the published range.

Three examples

With Nike selected and US 9 entered, the results are US 9, UK 8 and 262 mm. Change only the chart to adidas and US 9 instead corresponds to UK 8.5 and 263 mm. This is why the manufacturer choice matters even when the US label is unchanged.

With adidas selected and UK 10 entered, the results are US 10.5, UK 10 and 276 mm. These are entries from the adidas chart, not a subtraction rule applied to a Nike size.

With Nike selected and 264 mm entered as foot length, the measurement falls between the 262 mm and 267 mm rows. The tool shows US 9 / 9.5 and UK 8 / 8.5, plus both lengths. Use the accompanying maker guidance when choosing a pair; the two-row result is a comparison, not two guaranteed fits.

Before ordering

Nike explicitly distinguishes its CM/JP shoe label from measured foot length. Copying a centimetre label from the box into this tool’s millimetre field would mix two different quantities. Measure the foot using the manufacturer’s instructions, or enter an existing US or UK label from that same brand.

This tool covers the two named men’s charts, not women’s, children’s or every brand’s sizing. It does not assess width, toe room or model-specific fit. EU labels are outside its current scope; consult the maker’s chart directly for them.
